Increase focus, concentration, and confidence
In our 50+ years of experience and research, we've developed four core skills to help you build an effective mental approach. This is a proven process that will enhance your hitting routine, and help you compete at your best with consistency.
Reset: an action to get your attention to the present moment. For example: tighten your batting gloves, knock dirt off your cleats, or focus on your bat label.
Mindful breathing: There are two components to mindful breathing. First, inhale for 4-6 seconds and exhale for 4-6 (or more) seconds. Second, breath using your diaphragm (stomach).
Focus Cue: This is a word or phrase that you repeat to yourself to lock your attention on the task at hand. For example: , “see the baseball”, or “attack the pitch”, or “trust my zone.”
Mindful Courage: Accept any ineffective thoughts that enter your mind, then come back to your focus cue. This allows you to trust your focus cue, relax, and hunt the pitch in your zone.
